Description

The XS Power 993 Voltage Step-Down Module is designed to work with automotive 16V, DC electrical systems with or without alternators. Many electrical components benefit from higher voltage, but some more sensitive components cannot tolerate the higher than normal voltage found in 16V systems. These components should be connected to the 993 module.

General Precautions

Make sure all wires are of adequate size

Route wires away from hot or sharp objects

Make sure all connections are clean and secure

SPECIFICATIONS

OUTPUT(Blue & Orange Wires):

When not using an alternator- Connect sensitive components to the blue wire. This will drop the voltage 2.4 volts and will yield around 14.5 volts on a typical application with a fully charged battery.
When using an alternator- Connect sensitive components to the orange wire. This will drop voltage 3.6 volts and will yield around 14.9 volts on a typical application.
