Natural, Rich Sound With Precise High Notes

MB Quart’s rich history as a German audio pioneer shines through with their Reference Series car speakers. The MB Quart RS1-216 6-1/2″ component system features two quality woofers, two 3/4″ tweeters, and two external crossovers. An extremely lightweight pulp/bamboo hybrid woofer cone delivers the lower and midrange frequencies with accuracy. MB Quart complements that natural, rich sound with precise high notes from the 3/4″ titanium dome tweeters. Additionally, WideSphere technology expands the tweeter’s dispersion pattern for a wider, more lively soundstage.

Titanium Dome Widesphere

6.5 Reference Component 2-Way speakers engineered with .75 Titanium dome WideSphere Technology Tweeters with lightweight craft pulp Bamboo fiber cones mounted to an inert frame (which adds no harmonic distortions). The components system features an audiophile external crossover network. 75 titanium dome tweeters utilizing WideSphere Technology for exceptional musical reproduction of high frequencies are the heart of the system. The innovative tweeter design develops an off-axis dispersion pattern that creates a larger sound stage which brings a concert in your car to life.

Lightweight Curvilinear Craft Pulp

The speaker is engineered with a Lightweight Curvilinear craft pulp with bamboo fiber cone. This design adds strength and superior bass frequency reproduction. This means that midrange and bass frequencies remain very musical without the distortions that can be caused by the cone flexing. With the curvilinear design the geometry is specifically engineered for best upper band midrange response which is critical for frequencies that are responsible for vocals and acoustic instruments like piano, guitar and percussion.

High Temperature Adhesives

High temperature adhesives are utilized to keep the coupling from cone to surround fused. Adhesives are also impervious to cold weather. Molded Polymer Sealing gaskets are utilized to keep the speaker isolated from the mounting surface and improve protection from water and dust intrusion. High temperature imported wire on Kapton former. The former is lighter than a standard speaker which allows the component to support slightly higher frequency extension and efficiency.
