Step-Down Converter

This is used to convert a speaker-level audio signal into a line-level signal. They are commonly used when adding an aftermarket amplifier to a factory radio, as most factory radios only output a speaker-level signal. Line Output Converters are also used to convert a low-level signal from a preamp output to a higher level signal for an amplifier input.
