Concentric Coaxial Tweeter
APX 570 features a concentric coaxial tweeter: with one single point of sound emission it is possible to obtain a consistent in-phase response, with consequent reconstruction of the acoustic scene comparable to a system of separate woofer + tweeter. The 57 cones surround features an exclusive shallow Triple Wave profile, for maximum excursion linearity.
Innovative Coaxial Speaker System with Concentric Tweeter Brilliance
The concentric coaxial tweeter, positioned within the woofer for a single point of emission, ensures a consistent phase response and precise sound stage reproduction comparable to a component system. The tweeter incorporates an acoustic lens for a linear frequency response, even in off-axis placements common in indoor installations. Featuring a 32 mm pure copper voice coil, it provides high power handling and effective low-frequency control. The overall mounting depth is optimized for seamless OEM integration, thanks to the concentric tweeter and low-profile basket. The water-repellent paper cone, developed using Finite Element Method simulation and Klippel Scan Vibrometer optimization, enhances durability. The TPU sphere with a unique “triple wave” profile ensures maximum excursion linearity. The compact basket, protected by an abrasion-resistant coating, houses a motor affixed with damping epoxy adhesive. The high-current fast-on terminal with double contact points offers flexibility and quick connections, featuring a temperature-resistant plastic cover for protection against accidental short circuits. Developed with the KLIPPEL suite, this system combines advanced features for optimal audio performance.
