Voltage Retention Interface

It helps to maintain the car stereo’s memory settings, such as clock and preset radio station settings, when the car battery is disconnected or dies. It does this by storing these settings in a back-up battery that is connected to the stereo. VRI is especially important for vehicles with remote car starters, as the remote car starter will reset the car stereo if the memory settings are lost.
